Steph's No Cook Fudge

6/16/2020

Okay, guys this is a big deal. Anyone who knows me, knows I absolutely adore fudge. Like LOVE it! I've tried most of them and I'm extremely fussy on it and class myself as a mini fudge connoisseur. Whenever my close family and friends go away or go to Christmas markets, they cant walk past a fudge stall without buying me a little bag as a gift, which I love! Always a happy bunny to receive a bag of fudge or a magnet for my fridge when someone's been away.

So these are the best fudges I've found to date that you HAVE to try in order of my personal preference....

Rolys Fudge
The Little Fudge Box (cymru!!)
The Fudge Kitchen

If these are not available and I fancy a treat, then I make my own. All mine are non traditional and are chocolate based as opposed to sugar based. Not as nice as sugar based if I'm being 100% honest with you (but that's just my opinion) However this fudge recipe is still very yummy and moreish I promise. Also super duper easy and can be tweaked and mixed in a variety of ways to make all sorts of amazing flavours.

So as normal I'll give you the standard recipe, then I'll add further suggestions on flavours and methods beneath.

INGREDIENTS
500g Chocolate (whichever chocolate you prefer out of dark, milk & white)
1 400g Tin of condensed milk

METHOD
1) Break chocolate into pieces and place in a microwavable bowl. Microwave on full until melted, checking on a regular basis and giving it a stir to ensure it doesn't burn.
2) Leave to cool for a couple of minutes, then Add your full tin of condensed milk. Mix vigorously and fast as this mix will thicken super quick and you want it combined thoroughly.
3) I place mine in a small plastic Tupperware lined with baking paper and leave to set in the fridge for a couple of hours.

VARIATIONS.

Cookies and cream.
Follow step 1 as above using white chocolate.
Break up roughly half a pack of double cream oreos and mix through the chocolate mix.
Follow step 2 as above.
Place mix in a Tupperware then top with oreos before leaving in the fridge to set.

Terrys chocolate orange.
Follow step 1 as above using milk chocolate.
Add 2 tbsp of orange extract and roughly half a terry chocolate orange broken into pieces.
Follow step 2 as above.
Place mix in a tupperware then top with more broken up terrys chocolate orange before placing in the fridge to set.

Cherry bakewell.
Follow step 1 as above using white chocolate.
Add 2 tbsp of almond extract and a good handful of flaked almonds and glace cherries.
Follow step 2 as above.
Place mix in a tupperware then top with 2 mr kipling cherry bakewells cut into quarters before placing in the fridge to set.
